PROJECT OVERVIEW
CLIENT NEEDS
Glow Envy, a beauty and glamour brand, wanted a professional online presence to manage client bookings and showcase their services. They approached us to design a website that captured their brand’s luxurious aesthetic, while also elevating their existing materials into a more cohesive, polished look. Alongside the website, they requested a refined brand guide and an updated brochure design.
PROBLEMS TO SOLVE
The project presented a few practical hurdles from the outset. Communication was primarily done through message exchanges, which meant that instead of one onboarding conversation, we had to gather information in pieces. Additionally, the client had created a logo using Canva and requested that the same font be used on the site—however, the font, Brittany, was exclusive to Canva and not web-compatible. This created a challenge in maintaining visual consistency across platforms.
APPROACH
We began by carefully analysing the logo and brochure designs to create a brand alignment guide that could be used across all materials. Using the Canva brochure as our base, we recreated it in a more professional format that matched the website’s feel and layout. The colour palette—gold, black, white, soft neutrals, and blush pink—was curated to reflect the brand's elegant, feminine identity. Every element was chosen to communicate a sense of indulgence and professionalism.

We worked around this by staying flexible in our process and sending frequent design previews to ensure we were aligned. The second big hurdle was the logo font—Brittany—which couldn’t be used directly on the site. Rather than ask the client to redesign the logo, we sourced alternative script fonts that felt visually close enough to maintain the brand’s essence without disrupting the original design. | |

ABOUT COMPANY
Glow Envy approached us to develop branding for their new website. The challenge arose when we discovered that there posters and brochures had been created using Canva, limiting them to Canva's font options. To Maintain consistency, we sourced font files that closely rematched Canva's fonts and provided the client with a selection to choose from. Although we offered to update their logo with a similar, higher-quality font, the client chose to retain the original Canva font for the logo.
We created a cohesive brand identity by using the colours from their existing brochures, blending them with neutral tones to enhance the website's visual appeal. This approach ensured that the branding remained consistent with their promotional materials while offering a more polished and professional look for their online presence.
BRANDING OVERVIEW
Our approach to branding is centred around understanding the client's vision and aligning the brand with their unique identity. We start by evaluating what they currently have in place and gathering detailed insights through a questionnaire. This allows us to get a clear picture of what the client envisions - whether they prefer neutral colours, a witch-themed look, dark and moody tones, or a modern aesthetic. Since the client knows their business best, our goal is to create a bran that they are truly happy with.

We also assess what the logo needs to achieve - whether it serves as a strong identifier or fits seamlessly within an existing theme. Often, we draw inspiration from images provided by the client, such as those used in menus or social media, ensuring the branding reflects their location and character. We refine these images, adjusting colours for balance if necessary, to create a cohesive and visually appealing identity.
CLIENT ALIGNMENT
Throughout the Glow Envy project, client alignment was a top priority. We maintained open communication to fully understand their needs and preferences, ensuring that every design decision reflected their vision for the brand. From matching the typography as closely as possible to their Canva materials, to selecting a colour palette that resonated with the beauty and glamour industry, we provided guidance while keeping the client's input at the forefront.
By offering flexible solutions such as presenting font alternatives and fine-tuning the colour scheme based on their existing materials, we ensured the final design aligned with both their creative aspirations and practical requirements for their website.
DELIVERABLES
COLOUR PALETTE

The Glow Envy brand features a refined and elegant colour palette that reflects its beauty and glamour focus. Gold, taken from the logo, serves as the standout accent, adding a touch of luxury. Complementing this, black provide a clean, sophisticated base, while a soft cream adds warmth and neutrality. To enhance the brand's feminine appeal, shades of pink are used as subtle accents bringing a glamorous and stylish flair to the overall design.
TYPOGRAPHY

The typography for Glow Envy presented a unique challenge, as the original logo and promotional materials were created using Canva fonts, which aren't directly available for web use. To maintain consistency while ensuring compatibility for the website, we sourced similar fonts that closely matched the original Canva typography. These font options were presented to the client, who ultimately chose to keep the original Canva font for their logo.
For the website, we implements the closest possible match, ensuring a cohesive brand experience across both print and digital platforms, while adhering to web design best practices.
