June 2025 (Normally 2 Weeks) Client wants a slow approach due to working full time while setting up business
Project Overview
Client Needs
The client wants a clear and effective pricing strategy that supports her business growth while keeping it flexible to suit her current needs. She’s seeking better management of her pricing and stock, especially as she transitions to selling her own brand of lashes. The goal is to ensure her pricing is competitive and sustainable as she works around her unique challenges.
Problems To Solve
The client is working with disabilities, which makes it challenging to dedicate time to various aspects of her business. Additionally, she is still in the process of bringing out her own line of lashes, which requires careful stock management and pricing adjustments. Keeping the flexibility to provide ongoing support is crucial while she finalizes the launch.
Approach
The approach focuses on providing her with a customizable and user-friendly pricing calculator, stock manager, and break-even point (BEP) tool to help her manage her business operations. This strategy empowers her to make informed decisions about pricing, stock, and sales as her business evolves. The goal is to support her through each step, allowing for gradual growth and development.
Deliverables
ABOUT COMPANY
The Beauty Lounge approached us to develop their new website. The challenge arose when the client wanted bold colours but minimalistic style. We worked closely with the client and eventually found a balance between bold and minimalistic. Since The Beauty Lounge already had a logo created, GHD2 created a branding guide before starting on the website design.
We created a cohesive brand identity by using the colours from their existing logo, blending them with neutral tones to enhance the website's visual appeal. This approach ensured that the branding remained consistent with their promotional materials while offering a more polished and professional look for their online presence.
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
CURRENT STEP
Ongoing support
The process began with a thorough consultation to understand the client’s business model, goals, and specific needs, particularly around pricing and stock management. This initial step helped me gather all the information needed to build a strategy tailored to her unique challenges and set the foundation for the next stages.
CONSULTATION
PRICING STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
Based on the consultation, I created a pricing calculator that would allow her to input various parameters, such as cost of goods, desired profit margins, and overheads, to calculate the optimal selling price. The tool was designed to be flexible so she could adjust it as her business grows and the cost structure changes.
I implemented a stock manager tool that breaks down bulk purchasing and helps her calculate inventory needs. This tool is key for the client to manage her lash supplies, helping her track stock levels, reorder schedules, and predict future needs. The stock manager provides a simple, intuitive way to streamline her operations.
SETUP STOCK MANAGEMENT
BEP (BREAK-EVEN POINT) CALCULATIONS
A BEP calculator was introduced to allow the client to easily determine the minimum sales required to cover her costs. This will give her clear insight into how many lashes she needs to sell to start making a profit, supporting her pricing decisions as she moves towards launching her own lashes.
As the client works on bringing her own lashes to market, I will continue to offer support, ensuring that all tools remain aligned with her business development. This phase will allow for adjustments to the pricing strategy, stock management, and BEP tool as needed, based on the real-time data and changes in her business.
